EUROPEAN ROBOTICS WEEK WITH STUDENTS OF PUT

The tests of innovative rescue missions will take place at the Kąkolewo Campus on June 20 - 24, 2022. Young engineers will conduct simulations of real rescue operations and crises using technologically advanced drones and robots. The event that enables teams from the Poznan University of Technology to take part in the tests is the International European Robotics League (ERL) competition. The tournament is organized periodically in several European countries.

This year’s edition of the European Robotics Week will be attended by 4 teams, consisting of 26 players. The teams qualified to participate in the competition include the PUT UGV Team from the Poznan University of Technology, AEROSPACE PSNC from the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center, Raptors from the Lodz University of Technology, and the Dichari team from the BRAC University in Bangladesh.

In addition to the competition held in Poland, the Emergency European Robotics League also includes the Consumer category, which will present projects that are used in everyday life, and the Professional category, including machines created by professionals. Each of them takes place in a different country, and the Polish competition will be accompanied by events organized throughout Europe.

The organizers of the European Robotics League 2022 event in Poland are Andalusian Aeronautics Development Foundation (CATEC), European Space Foundation, Poznan University of Technology, Poznan Aero Club, and Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center. Due to its nature and the technologies used, the competition will be held in a closed formula, inaccessible to the general public.
